1. to place above or on something else; superimpose: »

Ordinarily, the antennas are vertically superposed a specific distance apart (L. F. B. Carini).

2. to add onto something else, by or as if by superimposing.
3. Geometry. to place (a figure) upon another so that the two coincide.
4. to arrange (the wings of a biplane) one directly over the other.
